A scent plucked right out of France in 1838, this eau de parfum was made at the Atelier du Parfumer in Grasse. French novelist George Sand was known for leaving a trail of her scent in her Nohant home. The formula of her perfume was extracted from a small vial entrusted by Christiane Sand to the perfume historian Annick Le Guérer who then worked with perfumer Dominique Ropion to recreate this scent. Les Nuits has an intoxicating scent of Turkish rose, damascena - the most noble, fragrant and luxurious of all roses, of earthy, woody, highly sensual patchouli, and of iris with woody powdery accents, powerful and refined.
